It’s good to be the king.
Home run king Giancarlo Stanton celebrated his last New Year’s Eve in Miami — surrounded by 30 women — ahead of his much-anticipated arrival at the Yankees this spring.
The former Miami Marlins outfielder — the 2017 National League MVP and MLB home run leader — was traded to the Yankees, who took over his $265 million contract in Dec.
Sources said Stanton, 28, had started his New Year’s celebration with a small group of friends around the pool at the Fontainebleau, where Demi Lovato performed before counting down to the new year. Then, the star slugger headed to the hotel’s hot club LIV to take in a DJ set by Travis Scott.
According to a source, “Gian is really excited about joining the Yankees, but right now he’s the man in Miami. He started the New Year’s Eve party by the pool at the Fontainebleau with a small group, but his party grew to around 30 women by the time he went to LIV.”
It is believed that Stanton will maintain a home in Florida despite his move to the Bronx Bombers, just like Derek Jeter did with his Tampa pad.
